New ipod shuffle hits the store shelves

Google News

Apple released a new ipod shuffle this morning, and I have to say, it's pretty neat for the shuffle lovers out there. It's great for those who want the no-nonsense, straight to the music kind-of a MP3 player. This ipod is about the size of a house key with a stainless steel clip on the back, so it can hold onto anything. This is so much better than the tiny plastic clip that was on the first generation shuffle. There is only one button on the tiny ipod that can be switched to: play through the song list, shuffle, or off. It's as simple as that.
The headphones contain the rest of the buttons: forward, backward, and the center which talks to you. Yes, talks to you. Simply push the button and it will tell you the artist name and the song title, so you don't have to look at the player. This saves you when you are exercising, walking to class or anything else when you need to watch where you are going.
My only fear is the cost of the headphones if they got lost or were broken. It would be a problem to not have them when they are the only way you can access your music.
